Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Online Preparation Course

The Department offers a 40-hour completely online course to prepare the student take the BACB’s Registered Behavior Technician certification examination. This course meets the BACB’s training requirement for Registered Behavior Technician certification.

This training is critically important, in that the number of children and adults needing behavioral health services is increasing despite a shortage of behavior technicians trained in the philosophy and competencies of behavior analysis. RBTs typically help on the ‘front lines’ to guide the implementation and skill development plans under the close supervision of a senior behavior analyst. Designed and conducted by our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts in the Department, this online prep course provides future RBTs with guided training to prepare them to take the RBT Competency Assessment and Exam.

The course is completely online, delivered in an asynchronous format, and completely self-paced, allowing the student to view the class units at their convenience.
