Biography

Dr. Sarah Weinsztok is a lecturer for the Online Applied Behavioral Science Program at the University of Kansas. She earned her BS in Psychology from the University of Florida in 2015 and her PhD in Psychology with a concentration in behavior analysis from the University of Florida in 2021. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Cofrin Logan Center for Addiction Research and Treatment at the University of Kansas, working with Dr. Michael Amlung. Dr. Weinsztok is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of challenging behavior among individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and in the promotion of healthy behaviors (e.g., exercise, nutrition) among this population. Dr. Weinsztok also has expertise in applications of behavior analysis to areas of public health concern, which is where her interests presently lie. Dr. Weinsztok's current program of research focuses on adaptation of behavioral economic frameworks to understand the variables that support hazardous alcohol use and how to leverage these frameworks to enhance the efficacy of harm reduction efforts.

When she is not in the lab or teaching classes, Dr. Weinsztok enjoys going on trail runs, hiking, rock climbing, and spending time with her cat, Lana.
